Have not bought a MLB game in a while need help picking

I have not bought a baseball game since my super nintendo days, but I'm looking to get one this year. This is between MLB 2K12 or MLB The Show. Just looking for some honest input as to which game is better this year.

    Thanks in advance.

There are probably 5 comparison threads in this section.

Honestly though...The Show. It's not even close.

Why not pick up MLB the Show 11 used for 10 bucks to see if you like it before laying out 50 bucks for the newer version. There really ain't that much difference as far as I am concerned.

I recommend either of Konami's baseball games as an alternative to The Show:

-- Pro Yakyuu Spirits on the PS3.

-- MLB Bobblehead Pros on the Xbox 360.

Both are way better than 2K's baseball games.

I agree with the above. As far as gameplay and physics goes it isn't even close PYS is the way to go.
