In the 2003-version of this game, check swings were cool. However, the main point behind the check-swing was missed. Depenging on how long you held the button down for, you should check-swing that much harder. I found myself checking my swing to where I definately not swinging, yet having the umpire still call a strike. The umpire decision seemed completely randomized. 
If you are going to have a cool feature like check-swinging, which brings drama as the appeal to first happens, please let me control how much I check swing, and, more importantly, make the umpire's decision of whether or not I went around be based on how much I was able to check my swing. If it's randomized, then there really is less skill involved, and it causes for a lot of frustrating moments where you called out even though you checked on a 2-2 pitch. Thanks.
