Maybe he's setting up for a high pitch?
I've seen catchers set up like that on highish pitches so it's not all that uncommon. Now if the catcher was like that ALL the time then it'd be a problem.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

God that looks stupid. Just another example of no matter how great a game sounds, these developers just can't get it all right. I'm beginning to think they purposefully screw one part up of a game just to piss people off.
