This is a big deal to .000000001 percent of baseball fans.

There are much more important things to add/fix in this series.

Didn't the catcher throw it back to the pitcher in ASB 2002 ? I remember them taking it out last year because it would speed up the game after people bitched it took too long to finish a game ?

While I would love L/R splits...it's certainly not a gamebreaker. It would really make the biggest difference with switch hitters, where you would want to "turn around" the batter to his weaker side.
It would be nice but....more importantly I would love to see them get rid of the letter designations for ratings and go to a number(1-100 NOT 1-10)
I still have the feeling that ASB will be the better of all the baseball games next year.

I like the Grade System though. It's more realistic because in real baseball, you can't "rate" a number by giving him a number. The letter system is better because it gives you an idea of what the ballplayer brings to the table, but it's vague at the same time allowing for more variability in what the player can do.

I agree. I kind of like vague ratings.

But where do the breakdowns end? Barry Bonds, a left handed hitter for example, might bat .225 against all LHPs but against Randy Johnson per se he might be a .400 hitter. If I were a manager making a decision I would lean more heavily on a hitters stats against a particular pitcher instead of LHP or RHP in general, (provided there were enough at bats to give the stat meaning).
