Anybody know if wind affects flyballs in 2004 or 2005?

I dont remember it being an influence in asb2004, and although the recent vids are early, I didnt see it in those.

Just curious if anyone has read anything on the net. Playing weaver in the old days was great...nothing better than wind blowing out to left at Fenway at 19mph.

The only game I remember having this in a game was Tony Larussa 2 for the pc. I used to crank the wind speed up to 50mph in Fenway Park, and scores would be like 25-20.

I think Tommy LaSorda (not sure) on the old Sega Genesis that would have weather effects. I laso liked it because it would show the flight of the ball from overhead which made fly balls a little more dramatic.

I loved Tommy Lasorda Baseball. I loved hitting homeruns that would bounce around in the parking lot.

Wasnt there something that looked like a bug or a spider in the parking lot too? If not it was in some game.

Yeah and just think, that was 12-13 years ago and 2 or 3 generations of systems ago. Beyond dynasty modes and stat tracking how have baseball games improved?

I've been playing baseball games for decades, I don't think they have improved much in their core. It's always been more about adding features. If they had just fixed the fundamentals, the little stuff, the games would be much better than they are today. They're not bad today, don't get me wrong. They just could have saved years of funding.
