    HH2005 Rumor

My best friend's cousin works for Microsoft. He's a salesman for their Office product so I don't know how much exposure he has to HH/IP, if any. My friend asked his cousin where he got this information from and his cousin said he couldn't say because he wasn't sure about the authenticity of it.

He told my friend that Microsoft will most likely offer a roster update to HH2004 this year. This means no HH2005. That is not to say that Microsoft will not produce HH in the future though (most likely under a different name, but with the HH engine and whatever tweaks Microsoft would make).

So take this for what it's worth - a rumor. It's certainly not set in stone, but I thought I'd pass it along to all the HH fans out there.

That would be very disappointing if thats the case. But with the new crop of baseball games coming out this year, which all sound good. I think i can live without it, so they have more time to make a great baseball game for the following year.

Interesting, thanks for the notice joeboo! This comes as a minor surprise simply because I was thinking that nothing involving HH would probably come out. If this is truly the case, (who knows, since it is a rumor) then it is disappointing, as we would like to see a new HH or it being incorporated with IP. But, seeing as I was starting to think none of HH would even be implemented, this would be nice to see, especially since HH 2004 right now is relatively cheap, and some still have their copy of the game. Sure, because we've played the heck out of it already, it won't be as exciting as the new upcoming baseball games. But seeing as how great HH 2004 was, and add to the fact that the rosters would be updated, it would still be a nice game to play along with the rest next season. But I will admit, it's not something that is particularly exciting, but if they have major plans for the future, I will gladly take a roster update this year for HH 2004 and a nicely HH incorporated game next year.

Okay first off they don't need an entire new name for High Heat. They will have to take whatever they can and put it into another game. They have that game and it's called Inside Pitch. I doubt this will happen but they could scrap most of IP, through in HH and call it IP. I doubt MS will create a whole new name, which means more licenses and the like just to make HH.

I don't understand why this board is so set on saying that HH can not be rolled into IP. Granted we aren't likely to see IP with HH gameplay this year but that doens't mean MS is just going to scrap IP compeltely in order to create a whole new name.

It could also be we won't see an MS baseball game until the All-Star break. If that's the case, IP might take some from HH but it will still be like any other first year titles, very light of features and some problems.

I'd be happy with that. How would they release the update? Because if they use Live then will PS2 users like myself be out of luck?
