I bought a used ASB 2004 and working on a new ROSTER file......

I remember a time when I enjoyed ASB 2004 so much that I spent countless hours playing it...so much so that I played all late-night up to about 3 hours before my 8 AM CIS class. But then after hearing the hype of both WSB and High Heat, i got rid of it as a trade in(low college budget)...and I regret that decision.

About 8-9 months later, this day, upon reviewing the USED section at Gamestop it came calling to me...yes those same letters "A-L-L S-T-A-R- B-A-S-E-B-A-L-L 2-0-0-4" glared at me behind the time-wasted attempts of Backayrd Wrestiling and some Batman game, and once again the game that gave me countless hours of enjoyment was back in my hands, and re-united with the power of my xbox.

Now I'll make a roster file and let you know when I'm done

I'm first in line! I just got mine back too after the same reasons you gave yours up. I downloaded the 9/1 roster and have been playing with that.

          then I'm second!

i got taht latest roster they made for it. It's pretty good. But, I too got rid of this jewel, and now have reunited. Although I think next year, I'm gunna get a couple games, they just sound so great.

After hours and hours, I still can't figure out how to trade players and release and sign free agents in the Roster Management screen. The only way is to start a franchise with control of all teams and then do the transactions there, but that kinda sux too cause of no injuries and it's only a simple franchise, not a COMPLETE one.

If anyone knows how to counter this problem with the roster management please let me know and solutions you may have and I'll be willing to make roster updates at the end of every week until ASB 2005 comes out.

Go to the SPECIAL FEATURES-----ROSTER MANAGEMENT----TRADE PLAYERS SCREEN. From there choose your teams(including the free agents)...but beware..ASB is not very roster editing friendly. You must have the correct amount of players for each position or you will not be able to back out of certain screens. It was one of the shortcomings of the franchise mode of ASB. It is fixed(hopefully) for the 2005 version.
                      Good Luck.

Also...I'm not sure..I don't remember, but you might have to do this with a SAVED roster file...not the original. So just save the original to the drive and work from that one.
