and a few things I would like to see in future incarnations of the game..
1) Hit variety. I tried using all the hitting types (zone, classic etc..) and I have found that there are quite a bit of hits to the center field. I don't like using the normal cursor because I have to aim the hit and this is time consuming. I want the computer to determine the trajectory of the hit.
I hope they tweak the hit variety for ASB 2005.
2) Generated count. Looks to be random and at times seems unrealistic. I like to have my pitcher cpu controlled when pitching, and I have found they do get a high number of strikeouts no matter who is on the mound and at the plate.
3) Sound in game needs to be improved. Sound crowd gets boring after a while. Add hecklers to the game, players shouting on the field etc.. This part of the game needs more life.
4) Add more lighting in stadium crowd. Parts of the crowd seem dark.
5) Would like to see some more fielding animations.
6) Add more than just the one batting camera. This is unacceptable IMO. Adding the behind the pitcher cam is a good start.
7) Profiles. Give the user more control and options to add to their profile. Ability to set the controls for each batter in lineup. Example. Instead of going to the controls in the game menu every time you play a game to change controls, add an option to configure/save this in your profile. Add an option to set fielding positioning in profile. I like to have this on auto.
8) Add more cut-scenes. Show pitcher after giving up home-run, batters reaction after a base hit etc..
9) Show auto replays of the homerun (zoom out, follow ball etc..) instead of showing just the batter.
