    help with hitting...

I just got ASB2004 yesterday to get myself ready for ASB2005 and I'm really struggling with the hitting. I'm playing on veteran with "normal batting." Most people say go to batting practice to work on the hitting.

My question is what exactly should I be doing in BP?

Should I be picking the pitch type then picking random placement? Should I pick random pitch type but at a certain location?

What exactly should I do in BP in order to improve?

Change the pitch type to "Exaggerated". It is easier to hit that way. After that I would start off with random pitch types right down the middle of the plate so you can get used to determining what type of pitch it is.

"Normal" batting is the 3D cursor, right? Get rid of it. It's total crap.

Go to Zone (High Heat style) or Timing (for ultra-easy hitting).

Another question is should I look at the pitch the second it leaves the pitcher to the second it crosses the plate or should look at the white dot in the strike zone?

watch it leave the pitchers hand.

So I should watch the ball the instant it leaves the pitcher's hand until the instant it crosses the plate?!? Thanks.
