Baserunning...

I'm playing ASB2004 as a primer for the 2005 edition but I'm having problems with the baserunning.

How do I get a runner to advance without stopping at a base? For example, if I have a runner at second and my batter hits a single how do I get the guy from second to head for home without stopping at third?

In the book it says Y + base(XBox), but that doesn't seem to work. The runner will stop then run which causes him to be thrown out.

If you hit the L Trigger, he will keep running without stopping.... but that button advances all runners, so you run the risk of the guy rounding first getting hosed at 2nd unless you can get him to go back to 1st.

If I'm going to continue a runner, I usually hold down Y and repeatedly tap towards the base. This doesn't always work unfortunately, but I'd say it works 75% of the time.

You hold Y and tap the base you are coming from. So to run from Second to third, you Hold Y and tap UP. To round third, hold Y and Tap Left while getting to the bag. It is a known bug in 2004 though, sometimes the guy just wants to stop.
