    Question about 3D batting mode

Just saw the video for this and I think it's a cool idea, but something about it kinda bothers me. In the video they say to use the RIGHT thumbstick to adjust the 3D batting icon. My question is...do you do this before the pitch is thrown, or while it's being thrown? I'm assuming it's the former, since it would be incredibly hard to have to use the right thumbstick to move your cursor AND then hit the A button to hit the ball....all in a matter of seconds.

The idea is that you adjust the cursor (and pick the field to which you want to hit) with the right thumbstick before the ball is delivered. So if you want to hit to right field, for instance, you aim the little bat head symbol that way with the right thumbstick, then you wait for the pitch.

But I never use the cursor anyway. It turns the whole pitcher-batter interface into a waiting game. Zone hitting is far more accessible.
