I hope online play, with so many games... is not like that this year AT ALL...

I never played baseball online, but it amazes me that someone would say that!! What do these people want? I guess they just don't get any enjoyment unless you're grooving each pitch down the center.... What happened to people enjoying some competition?

It's like the guy that I'm sure we all know who gets a baseball game, uses his favorite team and trades everyone so he can have an MLB All Star team. I work with a guy who does this. He told me how he enjoyed beating teams 23-1 and was amazed that I enjoyed "nail bitters" even if I lost. To each his own I guess...

What is even funnier is this was a league game I was in. I actually did start throwing it down the middle.......................after I was up 20 runs.

I think what he is trying to say is that there are people online that Throw balls all over the place just to strike you out...Well It's easy to say well don't swing at them...I think 90% of us Try to swing at most pitches...that's the only problem with online play..People will not pitch a Honest game... It's crazy that so many people have to win if not they are sore sports.....

I still have a problem with that. If I throw a pitchout 40 times in a row and the guy I play against keeps swinging, I'll keep throwing it. It's not my fault that he keeps swinging. He needs to change his game....

That example is a little extreme, but if I played online, I'd definately throw a lot of balls. That's what pitching is all about - setting up hitters and confusing them as to what's coming next. Heck when I pitched in real life I'd often work the count to 3-2 IF I felt I was setting the hitter up and the end result would be an out.
