    all of that is very possible, it's just that publishers want pretty things to give people eye candy that will make them buy the game on an impulse more than they want solid gameplay features. If a game company sat down this year with the intention of doing all the things in the above thread for next year's game, it would get done.

      Pitching to zones is not new, it has been the High Heat standard. I also believe there is a game (escapes my memory) that uses or used your other 'new feature', speed burst on the base paths.

        Pitching to zones is not new, it has been the High Heat standard. I also believe there is a game (escapes my memory) that uses or used your other 'new feature', speed burst on the base paths.

                  When I saw the words "MLB: EXTRA INNINGS" and the number "200" I was thinking, that's what I'm going to be paying in a couple weeks for some season long baseball goodness on digital cable.
