People who hate ASB for whatever reason see all the advances they've made, come on this board and just start saying crap like: "Well...this little insignificant thing is still wrong! Therefor this game is TOTALLY RUINED! BAD JOB AGAIN, ACCLAIM!!". Is it just me or do others find this kind of Denial friggin' Hillarious? I know this sounds kind of fanboy-ish, but based on all the pointless whining topics that have been up lately, I think I'm in the right here. I also think that these pointless topics are a sign that we may very well have a huge hit on our hands. You only see Denial like this when games start getting really good.

'Course...this rather pointless topic does nothing to help stop the Spam....but what the hell. There have got to be others out there that feel the way I do.

I think the first sign I saw that ASB05 was getting a lot of attention from fans of the other series is when I started seeing ASB-bashing posts popping up on the other boards.

The crazy thing is that most of the people who make irrational (and ignorant) statements about ASB05 are people who played it years ago, haven't seen any of the movies or screens, and know virtually nothing about the new game. They're basically bashing ASB 03 and comparing that game from two years ago to the soon-to-be released titles from the other two series.

But, hey, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting some ignorance on the Internet.

I thought ASB 2004 was the best last year (I had them all) too. Most people complain about how hard it was to hit last year, the pitches were too fast etc. but people will always find something wrong.

Last year I had MVP and ASB. I liked them both for different reasons. This year, it seems like it might be the same thing. However as any of us who are veterans of the ongoing EA vs. VC wars knows that talking out ya *** is just that. Pay no mind. I to this day do not understand blind loyalty to any game, UNLESS you own stock then you have a rooting interest. This is an internet phenomenon. I always go for the best game for ME. If I want pitching meters, then dammit that's what I'm getting. If I want year by year stats and waivers, then dammit that's what I'm getting.

But yet saying so can really piss some people off, and it's just funny to me. I guess they're threatened? By what I have no idea. Stupid is as stupid does right?

I hear ya, and I guess I just don't understand it either. Every year I rent all the games and then choose for myself. I have no loyalties. Now I am pretty biased against anything EA does, just because I don't like EA. However, I bought MVP last year just for online PC play.
