    Re: HH and IP Info.

I do have to agree that that is the dumbest quote ever. Suggesting that MS might bring their XSN Sports titles to the PS2 is like thinking Sony will start publishing their 989 sports titles on the Xbox. Not a chance in hell. Was this even a game news source that made this idiot statement?

PC may or may not see this title. Links I believe will be on the Xbox and PC next year so baseball could work the same way with a one year Xbox exclusive.

Anyway, I think Inside Heat has a decent job at being a great title. If MS was just going to cash in on the High Heat name then we would have seen them slap that name on any old thing this year. Not the case. The fact they are taking a year off to develop the title says they are serious about building a competitive sports franchise with the High Heat engine.

Look at it another way. MS has built this huge sports network in XSN yet every game they release is over shadowed by EA's entry. EA has turned their back on Live completely and more than anything I think MS would love to have at least one of their sports title reign supreme. The best two chances they have are with Links and High Heat. A successfull sport title would not only recharge XSN and the other MS sports titles but it would also get EA to rethink its hold out position.

Reread my initial message where it clearly states where this is from.

It's possible MS will put this on the PS2. Sales being the main reason. There are many more PS2's than Xbox's in the public so eliminating that entire market isn't the smartest thing to do.

This is still all speculation. No one knows what MS is going to do in the future with IP and HH.

MSFT will be canceling their sports lineup...(Rivals, Fever, ID and IP/HH) or so I am told.

So how is this going to work exactly? Will the same crew that worked on the pervious HH continue to make the game under Microsoft starting 2005 or will we see the old Inside Pitch crew make a game using the High Heat engine?

I guess it depends on if Microsoft hired the old HH guys or not. Heck, they might've even laid off the IP team. It's really anyone's guess..
