ginz, I think it was originally planned, but time contraints might have altered that plan, or something.

my biggest complaint too. If it looks funny stretched on my 16x9 tv, I will just hook the xbox up to my regular tv.

WTF? Why is widescreen such an issue? Isnt the coding just a value (like a 1 or 0) to enable/disable widescreen? Well, I know MVP wont have it, dunno about ESPN though...this still blows and I almost dont want to buy ASB2005 now. When will devs ever learn?

                        I can answer this one..

It is more than that. You have to make sure the framerates are good in 4:3(regular TV) mode, but when you are adding 16:9, you get a LOT more pixels that need to be drawn on the screen. Moving fans, pitchers/catchers in the bullpen, stuff slying overhead, more signs in the outfield, etc.

The time it takes to tune that for all "camera" angles is a lot longer than we think. I am sure they WANTED to added, NEEDED to add IMO since the other games have it, but they just ran out of time.

Better to leave it out than have customers complain about poor framerates, etc.

                        Make sense?
