Difficulty? No Sliders?

Hey guys, I haven't played ASB in a few years as I have been fixated on HH. I thought (and may still think) that ASB was the answer. Will it be realistic down the line after a 100 games or so? With High Heat, there were so many sliders that I could find a realistic game to play so if my team sucked I struggled to win 81. I remember ASB a few years ago when I had 50 homers in 35 games with Bernie Williams, which is when I switched to HH. Will the lack of sliders make me want ESPN or even possibly MVP(I only have an x-box)? Realism is my only priority!! Sorry for the rant, but I was hoping that the ASB veterens could help me with this issue. Much appreciated.

ASB is very realistic, not HR happy at all. There are no sliders and that is a blessing if you ask me. No countless hours messing with the sliders. Game is realistic out of the box.

See, this is what is scaring me. I don't want to invest the time in a game (and it takes time to realize this) to find out it is too easy. THanks for the info so far and please keep the opinions coming. I am still leaning towards ASB, but this doubt is what is keeping me from saying definitely.
