Most people don't like ASB. ASB has a fan base sorta like HH. Those that have bought ASB in the past and enjoyed it, will buy it again this year. I'm really not worried about anybody else getting it other than the guys in here. I'm also gettting MVP but after all the media blitz that we've seen the last couple weeks, I can honestly say that it's worn off and I'm looking forward more to ASB again.

For the people who like ASB, I think were all stoked and its getting respect. Every game coming out seems to have that specific 2-3 things that each person buying is stoked about.

I think MVP is going to have some fun and wow factor, but in the end I will end up playing ASB more because the sim engine is solid, the franchise is deep, the graphics/stadiums are good, collision detection, and generated counts. And I respect the ASB team for innovating and giving players options (batting choices, camera choices, franchise choices) so they can tailor it for how they like to play.

I don't know about the respect factor. ASB outsold WSB last year.

I haven't tried ASB since the 2002 version but I'm buying this years version. I had last years MVP and will be buying the new edition. Between the 2 games I have pretty much everything covered.

You're not going to believe how much the series has changed. The improvements since 02 are completely off the scale.

Basically, it's like how you hear about N'Sync/Backstreet Boys selling a gazillion records, yet bands like Thursday or Foo Fighters which are better, getting modest press and sells from the music industry. It's all about hype, quantity over quality. ASB > MVP/ESPN.
Coming is my style, but I have to go.
