Question about hit variety in this years game ???

I don`t know about you but I noticed last year ASB was the only game to lack in hit types !!!

....In every other game MVP WSB HH Ect.. there were dribblers up the base paths, slow infielder grounders & high infield choppers which made the gameplay very realistic

But in ASB these hit situations were non existent and every hit off the bat was hit hard enough to always roll to an infielder on the dirt making for a bland routine out

I hope now that the grass has been raised a few inches for "realisim"...we will see more slow "bunt like" ground ball hits die in the grass forcing the 3B or middle infielders to charge in on the ball and make a running throw !!!

    ...

I also hope there will be slow infield dribblers off the bat this yr when using "Easy" batting and watching a COM vs COM games

..."IMO the selection of hits was very limited last yr resulting in bland
gameplay for us few people that like using easy batting & watching games" LOL

Can anyone confirm any of this ???.....ASB_MAN ??

Well, the new Game Informer video that was just released (I assume from a final build) shows a full inning of Cubs vs. Giants.

In that game, there are two high hoppers, a foul off a player's body, and a dribbler in front of the plate that the catcher fields and throws the guy out.

I'm not saying it's "fixed." I'm just telling you what's in the new vid.

Wow. I don't know which version of MVP you played last year, but the one I bought was actually quite lacking in the hit variety department. I saw zero dribblers or high choppers. In fact, every single ground ball hit was a smash, usually right at an infielder.

ASB's hit variety last year wasn't as good as WSB's, imo, but it was much, much better than MVP's. This year, I can't really say yet. I am sure ESPN will have a good variety. MVP looks to have dramatically improved on theirs, and I am sure ASB will too.
