It's not a good thing if you're like me and have very little interest in MVP, and are really excited about ASB. Oh well.

I am with you porkchop . However, I am also planning on getting MLB for ps2. If the delay does happen, then at least I will have that a few weeks before ASB. MLB dev team seems to have the same love of baseball as the ASB team. That can only mean good things . I give props to both these teams.

Re: Looks like ASB is delay till the end of March..

                  OK,

So just a couple more weeks. That's cool with me. If ASB isn't ready, I don't want to buy a non finished game with bugs.

Actually, For myself, It's even better. I am getting MVP for the PC. This will give me time to check it out pretty thoroughly. If I had gotten them both on the same day, I would be going crazy trying to figure out which one to play.

Also, My imagination tells me that ASB might have been reading this board and heard some of the worries that many of us had. Like for example lack of offense, Pitch counts, etc. and decided to do some final tune-ups.

Acclaim knows that the Hype from MVP might really hurt them, so maybe they are just trying to come out with a really good game with as little bugs as possible.. They could be gambling that many will be disappointed in MVP, after the shine wears off, and those that expected more than they got, might just decide to trade it in for ASB and give that a shot.

Sometimes over hype can hurt you. You expect far more than you get, then you are peeved because it doesn't live up to your expectation.

From the boys on the MVP board, You would think that MVP this year is the second coming of Christ. It is gonna be pretty hard for EA to deliver all they promised.

I hope they can, but I really have might doubts.

CleveCubby, I hope you are right about Acclaim taking a couple of extra weeks to do some fine tuning and really get a polished product on the shelf. I would gladly give up the two weeks if that is the case.

I think when it all comes down to it hype will get you a lot of attention, but putting a realistic, good looking, good playing game on the shelf is ultimately the best advertising you can have.

I have reserved a copy of ASB and I will bide my time for the next couple of weeks unitl it comes out. I am going to be checking the MVP board to get your views on the manage only mode in MVP!

ASB_Man said they are playing the waiting game. This probably means the game is already done and has been sent to Microsoft/Sony for final approval. So unless they find something to fix, I think the game is finished. But remember, none of the videos we have seen (that I know of) show off the final build. Tell me if I am wrong here AsB_Man.
