Question, why are some of you buying multiple baseball video games? Don't ya think that's a waste of hard earned $$?

Nice fantasy, but no way. The game is done and they're waiting on certification. I think that once the game finally does come out, it'll be great. until then, I'll gamefly MVP for a few weeks or actually try to win a grand slam with my top spin character (which I doubt I'll be able to, because the computer is the cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese!)

porkchop is right about ASB Man just waiting on it to go gold like the rest of us.

However, only Game Informer so far has videos of the final build, and the complaints you mentioned seem much improved in that.

Maybe they can squeeze it out for March 9th? God I hope. I got a new PSM magazine today (I'm getting ASB on XBox though) and they gave MVP a 9/10. They said that its only problem is the games graphics. People say MVP has the best graphics, I dont think so at all, characters are huge and blocky with big heads. MVP is still a bit of an arcade game they say (last years to me was an arcade game as well). My little brother is getting it b/c its the only Baseball game coming out on GC. If ASB is delayed, so be it, I'll just wait for it, I'd rather have a realistic sim game, than an arcadey game found in Jilians. I'm still gonna try MVP when my brother gets it next week.

You know PSM's gonna overrate MVP anyway cause Sony and EA are in bed together. But I agree with you about the graphics.

I am getting MLB (PS2) and ASB (Xbox). I have friends that are online for both systems, and I am really looking forward to playing both of those games. Acclaim and 989 seem to have a team that is really dedicated to bringing the most realistic game of baseball to the consoles. I respect that. So I will drop 80 bucks on those two games for sure. I plan on renting MVP, just to see it. I won't even bother with ESPN this year. Maybe once they get blue shift of out there I will. I just have not liked their style of baseball since they did WSB2k2 on the dreamcast.
