Not getting MVP, I want realistic games, and MVP is not. As I said before my brother is, I'm going to play it because I will be waiting for ASB. I got WSB 2k3 last year and my season ended so fast, and that game was horrible. I wanted to play more baseball games so I got MVP and I thought that was only so-so. I didnt get ASB 2004 but I rented it b/c I wanted to try something new since I have been playing ASB since it came out on N64. Last year I took a break and I'm going back to it this year. I didnt say next week, I said 3/17 too.

How can you say that about a game you have not played. I trust the people who played it and said it may be the best Baseball game ever.

Yeah I just don't get how people who haven't played a single game yet claim it's not realistic. There's a name for those tyoe of people but for the life of me I can't remember it...

I think ASB will also be a good game, (im getting MVP next week already paid in full ) but the one thing that bothers me about ASB, is the lack and I mean Lack of Atmosphere. Arod13 you don't like the lack of batting stances in MVP, and thats all good but I don't like the lack of Atmosphere. I would take less batting stances any day for Steller atmosphere

I will rent MLB then. As for the other MVP stuff, the games are very short, 20 minutes long. I simmed some games, mainly the games with 3/10 impact (I wanted to play the harder teams more, I'd say I played 130 or so games). Stop saying I've never played MVP! I played 2003, WHAT COULD BE SO DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT?! God, I am so sure that so much new stuff can be added, in a year. Man, I also said I DONT HATE THE GAME, I just think IMO ASB is better and thats why I'm only getting that.

Well here's the thing, everyone is saying so much has changed "drastically" in MVP. What?

                  Well?

What has changed DRASTICALLY, I want to know. I look at it and I see a few additions but the same damn game from last year. They didn't change jack, they just added minor league play. That's not a drastic change, it's an addition. A drastic change is the new feilder cam ASB made, something that still doesn't get enough respect for what it is, something that has never been done before and I can tell just by seeing the videos it gives the player a better feel of actually playing an MLB game.

The thing is, notoriously game reviewers LOOOOOOVE the Arcade game and anything else, even if it's technically way better, "sucks". It's an unfair review that's been complained about for years now, and apparently the same can be said for the majority of people buying a game. All that means is something we've known for a long time, many Americans are MUCH too easily entertained. Unfortunately, these are the same kind of people that can end up being pompous and ridiculous, but that's all really. I guess my point would be that it doesn't matter if alot of people like MVP before it's even come out, or if alot of people love the Arcade feel (and won't admit it), or if EA and Sega have a bit more cash to advertise their games, sometimes in drastic measures as big as paying for a better review....it doesn't matter. Let the Cow have it's Cud, and enjoy your premium meal. This can be said of eerything opinionated to everyone in the world, and it will always be true. Let people like what they want to, all that should matter to you is what you want.

Just for your information, it usually takes 2 weeks after a game has been approved to reach market, that's why it's 3/23 instead of 3/17.

I agree with you 100% Stoud, thats what I've been trying to say but they say I "Have never played MVP," when I owned it last year and what can be different? Its not like they made the transition from Triple Play to MVP all over again, they just added a few new features which I am not interested it, which therefore is why I want ASB and not MVP. I can have my own opinion, so whats the problem?

I am in the same boat as you Stoud. With both ESPN and MVP. People just don't understand that we just don't like that style of game. I am not saying it sucks by any means, just saying it is not what I want in a baseball game. I feel I can say this by not playing it. The style of gameplay is the same as last year, why should/would they change it. Many, many people like it.

It's just not my cup of tea.
