Re: Looks like ASB is delay till the end of March..

How did this turn into a asb vs. mvp thread?

Sheesh. Anyway Arod. Acclaim finishes the games. They send them to MS and Sony. Those internal testers test the game and approve them as A-Ok. This could take a week, could take 2. If there is a problem with the game, Acclaim goes back to work fixing it. Then it goes gold, the duplicate, box and ship. That is how the process works

I know but just b/c its a whole new year, doesnt mean its drastically changed you know? I check out the site, they made hitting better and fielding but the things that I have been looking for arent changed, those same minimal batting stances are there and pitching stances! That bugged me, also a lot of players looked the same. I dont hate MVP, I just dont think its great, its fun, but I want to have fun but play realistic ball at the same time and it isnt too realistic.

I realize this is the ASB forum, but I don't see how you can complain about the batting stances in MVP. Last year's game had signatures stances for all the top players at the time. They even had Frank Thomas, Rafael Palmeiro, Roberto Alomar & Jason Gimabi's stances in as generic ones. On top of that, they were really some of the most accurate signature stances ever created, except for Griffeys that is. Although I'm not sure if they've added very many for this year's game, as the only new ones I've seen so far are Pujols & Babe Ruth.
In terms of quantity though, ASB and MLB seem to have the most batting stances overall.

Yeah but ASB also has batting stances for those sometimes ignored players. I have never played MLB so I cant comment on that but the graphics for that look horrible but I've never played it. I think this became ASB vs MVP when someone suggested I buy MVP next week while I wait for ASB to come out and I gave my reasons why.

Wait what game are you referring to? I played MVP last year (I had it for about a month) and it wasnt realistic. My team record was about right but I was slugging so many homeruns, I had like 50-60 with Karim Garcia (on Pro, then eventually All-Star).

Arod just so you know, one of the developers of MLB 2005 said that their game has over 500 signature batting stances. They tried to get every single players stance from the top stars to the lesser know guys. So if you want a really incredible variety of stances you might want to check out MLB. I would say ASB 2005 probably has the 2nd most batting stances this year.
