    Do you mean exclusive?

Microsoft could have made and MLB game from the start as the license that 2K negotiated did not include first party games(so MS could have made a game for the 360 at any time)

I mean do you think Next gen they will maybe put out some first party sports titles like old times? Also did 2k lose the license? if so possibly an EA baseball game soon? 2k13 was the last game in the agreement right?

        You mean third party.

First party is when you make the console and the game for it(Sony....the PS3 and Sony(SCEA) the Show is a first party title.

Third party is when you make a title for multi-console......like the old days for MLB.

Yes...I'm pretty sure that the license(non-exclusive) is available for any developer to pay for and make an MLB game in 2014.
(but I don't think EA will....due to the fact that they did not know if 2K would try and retain the exclusive license....something they(EA) do not want to pay for......thus.......the time to develop the game would have been wasted if they were locked out of publishing the title again)

High Heat was developed by 3DO, which went bankrupt in 2003.

However, Microsoft does hold the rights to the High Heat name.

They would have to get someone to develop it, though. I don't think Microsoft has a sports division anymore.
