What is the deal with the defense crouches? Why are they still there?

    What is the deal with the defense crouches? Why are they still there?

    How hard can it be to get rid of that freakin crouch and add some animations? I know its a little detail, but it drives me nuts. This game is sooo close to being perfect, but that damn crouch.



    It wont ruin the game for me. I will still enjoy it just as I did last season. ASB is the baseball game i plan on playing this season.

      They already answered this. The crouch was the key frame for all animations originally so when you went from one animation to the next the transition is always smooth. No popping from one animation to the next like in some games.

      They did say they added a ton more new animations this year and tried to limit how often you see it but basically until they can do full mocap and redo all the animations it will be very hard to 100% rid the game of the crouch. I think those guys hate it as much as you do if that is any consolation.

      Really I see it as being so minor though because in no way shape or form does it affect gameplay.

                              I don't see it affecting gameplay either !! Although, I was quite amused by one of the most recent video captures. After the third out, all of the players were walking off the field except for the pitcher who was still crouched on the mound, TAKING A DUMP !!! Well, I know he was'nt really but sure looked like he was pinching one off
