nesta, its so that we can update the rosters as trades/signings are made during the actual season.
in '04 when you tried to update the main roster, it was irritating to try to make a trade that actually happened in real life, only to have the computer tell you (because of -something- compromise, this trade can't be made).
my main purpose of this option would be to match up the game's rosters to the real rosters as best i can. im not sure how often Live distributed roster updates for '04, but i know any other source only provided rosters for about a month or so.
i was hoping to be able to(like in espn/nba2k series) pick a player from any team and have the option to 'assign' him to another team...just so that i can match the rosters to the current 'real' rosters.

1. Its so roster makers can actually you know....make rosters. If they have to start a franchise to do it there is no point.

2. Define "broken"? Player progression is "limited" and thats after 3 years. I only play a couple seasons and you can always edit attributes in the middle of a season anyways. So it's not "broken" for me.

I have found a way around this issue. ASB has created fake players on rosters, edit those players that are ALREADY on the roster...Its actually easier than MVP if you do it right!

MVP has one thing over ASB... you can edit lineups/rosters...

that's it... i shouldn't start a battle... regardless, it's disappointing... dang ASB... such a great great game...
