In doing that the camera is looking away from the ball and towards the outfield, so you have to turn your head back around to try and pick up the ball alread in flight while continuing to run forward. This is more of an issue when the ball is to the left or right and not when it is in front of you. Not sure there would be an easier solution for this as it sound more like a logistical issue of sticking someone suddendly in the outfield as a ball is flying at you.

I agree with you on how disorienting this mode can be. I think for ASB to make this mode work they're going to have to make some allowances like Sega did with FPF. Maybe something like a quick replay of the ball hitting the bat from the fielders point of view or some sort of slow down just so you can get a handle on the trajectory of the ball, instead of just jumping to some random view of the field.

Just to clarify, Fieldercam also works different depending on your difficulty level.

On veteran, the fieldercam will point you towards the spot the ball is going to land. This is supposed to get you used to seeing the rings on the ground where the ball is headed. From All-Star mode on, the camera will focus on you looking at the flight of the ball, which is a little more realistic. You have to follow the arrow to get to the spot the ball is going. It's harder, but much less disorienting because you actually have the track of the ball.

For those that can't see the ball, you can turn on the red glow that will make the ball easier to see. Next year, Acclaim really needs to make the ball bigger, and make the players a little bigger as well.

I disagree with having them make the ball bigger. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Game companies have a tendency to go all or nothing when they take complaints into mind, and we don't want a softball looking ball or worse next year. The sizes are just right to me in ASB. I would rather have a ball glow or just get used to it as best I can than having an unrealistic beach ball flying around the park.

What would be nice is if there was a way to lock onto the ball, but keep your fielder on the screen at the same time. That way you could see the flight of the ball while you run to the landing spot. The hardest part for me right now is running towards the rings and not being able to see the flight of the ball. I need to learn to adjust based on how fast the rings disappear.

absolutely nothing, it just takes time to really get used to it. Time and patience, just like....BASEBALL.

can anyone please tell me and lnin0 , if you can invert the the way you look in fielder cam "right, left, up, down" with right analog stick ?
already knowing i'll have to use it as only option online seems bad enough . but if i can't choose to invert or not , would be the ultimate game killer ! i mean all FPS like halo , rainbow six and so on , let's the player decide for himself ! would be plain silly if not !

                        peace
