That is the problem, ther is no auto steal. This year it is all about timing. You have to do it during the wind up or they will be thrown out 100% of the time

What?! There is no way to give the runner the signal to steal? I think it says you can in the manual but it is not working. I dont mean auto-steal, I mean like how can I give the steal to the runner on first before the windup? It says in the manual to hit L+Y pre-windup but it doesnt work. Are you sure?

what base are trying to steal third or second? Who is the catcher and what is his arm strength? All of those are factors in your ability to steal. stealing third is a lot harder than stealing second IMO.

Make sure you are taking leads with the left trigger as well. Tapping the left trigger alone will take a one step lead. Right trigger to go back.

Yes I am tapping L. I just played 2 games, and in both, I finally stole a base, 4 in the two games combined. Lofton stole in the first game and a second time the next and Jeter stole twice in one game but it was tough. I faced the Cardinals in the second game and I would hold L and hit B when Morris would wind up. I lost the game though, 6-2 and my record in ST is now 9-5 (no I didnt play all 14 of those games, I simmed about 3-4 so I can catch up a bit to the real Yankees, I'm a week behind). This game is FAR more realistic than 2003 (last ASB I owned), I would hit like a combined 15 HR's with the team a game in 2003, this time, its much harder, and in 2003 I went 160-2, when I finnally get into real games, I'll probably win 95-110 games. I love this game.
