I got the game about 5 hours ago. So far, I played 4 games, and I simmed 2 (ST games of course). It is faaar more realistic than 2003. I play with Zone hitting, fast pitch speeds, and analog batting and in the 4 games I played (the 2 I simmed, those games I won) I'm 2-2 and I hit 4 HR's (2 in one game, 2 in a combined 2 games, and none in the last I just played). But anyway, aside from my happiness of returning back to ASB, I just want to know, how do I steal? I keep looking in the manual, but its not working! I'll have a runner on first (Lofton, or Jeter since they are the fastest on the team) and I cant do it. What I'll do is this, I'll have them lead by hitting the L trigger, then before the pitch is thrown, I'll press L trigger+B and then the runner will take off WAY too soon and get thrown out! What am I doing wrong?! Thanks in advance. Games great so far!

If you're using the new base running controls, can't help you, if you're using the classic ones, press the top button of the pad (the ones that form that diamond) and right pad, which is first base. That'll signal the runner to go. (Reason why I can't get the buttons right is because it's an XBOX version, and I"m not familiar with it's controller. -

During pitchers windup hit left trigger plus the base your runner is on. So L+B=send runner on 1st, L+Y=send runner on 2nd. This is on the new normal default mode.Comment

Yeah I can do that but I still get thrown out even with Lofton and Jeter the two fastest Yankees. The classic style doesnt work either! I want to get the signal to the runner before the pitcher winds up so it'll do an auto steal but I cant seem to figure it out. I tried holding L+B before the windup, runner didnt move. Then I tried holding L+Y, still he didnt move. Please help.Comment

That is the problem, ther is no auto steal. This year it is all about timing. You have to do it during the wind up or they will be thrown out 100% of the timeThe Sports Preacher
