    Scouting and the Draft...

So far I'm loving all of the aspects of franchise mode in ASB, but when Draft Day comes I noticed that some of the players are scouted and some are not. I see in my team budget there is a place to allocate budget points for scouting so I'm sure that this impacts how many players are scouted. But is there a direct method of being able to choose which players I want scouted and which I don't? I mean I was in the market for a 1B and the top three 1B weren't scouted at all, so I ended up choosing a SP that had been scouted with good ratings.

    Any know more about this?

The best answer that I have found to this question is---and this is from my experience with last year's game: They only way that you get more reports is to increase the money in your scouting budget and it is random as to whom you get reports on---I was maxed out on scouting budget last year with the Cardinals and there would still be guys that I couldn't get a report on---just like real baseball---every major league team doen't have an in-depth report on everyone available for the draft-and they definately have not seen each prospect. There are too many players and most teams have cut back on the number of scouts that they have scouring the country, not to mention Canada, Austrailia, the Dominican and every other place where players are coming from.

Right on....thanks for the help> I figured it was something like that, but I was hoping for at least someway to direct your scouts as to which position to look at the hardest. I wonder if the AI takes into account your positional needs or not?
