    Freeing up Salary

I have only 11 Budget Points left and I have a franchise with the Yankees, the richest team. I need to sign Mo to a 2 year extension and he is asking for 30 BP a year. How can I free up the extra 19 BP? I already dumped Tyler Houston, and Erik Almonte, who else should I dump or what can I do? I'm already about 40% through Spring Training. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

You can still sign him midway through the season, correct? I'd say wait until then. If you win games, doesn't your Overall Team Budget increase?

you could always dump A-Rod & Jeter seriously- i would probably look to get rid of an unneeded OF, 1B (Lee was signed for way too much money)..

Lee, Clark....i believe you have White & Heredia both in the bullpen, and theyre essentially the same pitcher, so one is expendable......not a popular choice im sure, but trading Bernie would free up the needed funds .....Sierra maybe? i know most of the team is "untouchable", but somethings gotta give...thats about all i can think of...if i was a yankee fan, id want to keep most of the starteers, theyre awesome, potentially....but, you can also turn quite a lot of them into quality talent in return, should you so desire......just go solicit offers on the trading block, you may get an offer that you can not pass up...happens to me all the time....althoug, to be fair, in my world, there is no such thing as "untouchable" LOL

No way would I ever dump A-Rod, Jeter, or Bernie. I dont want to get rid of White and Heredia b/c they are both quality lefties in the pen. Travis Lee I need if my Giambi goes down. Now Clark is someone I could dump as well as Cairo. Sierra I like, dont want him to go. I think I might drop Clark, and Cairo, but I think I will wait till around midway through my season b/c yes, I think your BP do go up when you win ballgames and do good, if not, I'll dump those too and probably other minor leaguers. As of right now, I'm 13-7 in ST, in 3rd place but hey, its ST.

I would say call Acclaim tech support to report the Yankess having salary limitations as a major bug, I don't think anyone knows how to help you...no one running the Yankees has ever run into a situation where they couldn't get exactly what they wanted before.

                            Sorry...couldn't resist!
