I used compressed air for all the dusty, junk inside. To get some of the stuff that was a little tougher, I just used Q-Tips...some spots looked clean, but weren't.
To clean the lens, I used contact lense cleaner on a Q-Tip. Worked VERY well.
Honestly, I'd had some problems here and there, but recently it'd been acting up. I found some game were pickier than others. ASB being pickier... but cleaning REALLY did the trick.
Pay attention to the DVD-ROm and really clean that well. Can you still trade in that machine?
Does EB and Gamestop still take them as trade-ins, if you have opened it and cleaned it?
Or do they see a broken seal, etc. and say that you are SOL?
