    AI won't swing at balls

    I've played 5 games and portions of other games, mostly in Spring Training. The computer will not swing at a ball, even when the count is 0-2. AI just takes 4 balls in a row, does not fish whatsoever.

    Please, someone tell me they have seen differently because I want to love this game.

      i've experienced them swinging at balls... but they are pretty picky... i do get some good Ks... about the right amount...

          i've experienced them swinging at balls... but they are pretty picky... i do get some good Ks... about the right amount...

                  You gotta fool them. They are picky...even moreso than real life. I've gotten them to swing at pitches inside, outside and low, but you gotta set them up. Try changing speeds. Sometimes my pitcher will miss the zone and throw ball four, but the batter will swing and help me out!

                              I see them swing at balls, but not horrible ones. If you're skirting the strike zone, they'll swing. If you're a yard off the plate, they won't.

                              At least that's what I'm seeing.

                                  I see them swing at balls, but not horrible ones. If you're skirting the strike zone, they'll swing. If you're a yard off the plate, they won't.

                                  At least that's what I'm seeing.

                                          Yeah, they won't swing at balls unless they are darn close to the plate. Changing speeds has been my best stike out weapon. Also listen to the announcers before the game and they will tell you which pitches are the best for your pitcher. Set them up with the other pitches and stike em out with you 'A' pitch.
