    Baserunning Questions...

I am having baserunning problems. Every time I send a runner home my batter who singled takes off for second base! Whats funny is the runner on second stays there and I end up with two runners on second. I know Im not hitting the L trigger only because then they would all move. I am hitting "X" while using the left trigger. What am I doing wrong?

Also what is the difference between "NORMAL" and "CLASSIC" baserunning. No where in the manual is a difference listed.

by the way this game sure is fun though.

    Re: Baserunning Questions...

I haven't been able to figure out what Classic is. I tried everything under the "classic" one and I couldn't steal a base. As it is, I'm having tons of trouble stealing bases with guys like ALFONSO SORIANO. But admittedly, he is 2nd in the league currently in SBs, and I have been running on some fast pitchers. Stupid, I know. It's just that all ASB games years past were easy to steal a base, it's hard to actually get used to a lifelike base stealing situation. I'm sure my first year with my new Expansion team is gonna look a little funky in the recordbooks, simply cause I'm still figuring stuff out.

It's time to face it: They made some pretty damn good realistic changes to Baserunning this year. While much of the "send one and all will go" mechanics problems still exist, stealing a base is alot harder and I for one am getting realistic results. Man, I can't believe how realistic this game is overall. I'm actually finding myself studying CPU pitchers for ideas in pitching. I'm doing pretty well, but it's just that lifelike! Now I'm just now figuring out that I'll have to study the pitchers to see who watches for baserunning and junk like that....or Thom could butt in with a little hint like he did before...

    COME ON, THOM!
