Rosters , Are a Killer once again , only way to fix. Stupid

Hi once again ASB lets us down on the simplest thing not being able to adjust rosters before starting a season or just exhibition. With all the bitching last year you would think that it would be the first thing to fix.
Such a simple basic thing to fix than to make things worse you cant edit both teams before exibition.
I thought ok I'll do what I did last year and create 8 franchises or series so I could play almost all NL/Al matchups I wanted . Wrong !!!!!! now you can only do 5 franchises and you cant save the rosters to add to your other franchises, so you will have to make all the roster changes in franchise 5 times .(lots of work) Do they test this game before they sell it ? It 2004 not 1994 How can all these bugs be in a game from the last 2 years ?
The only way I figured out to fix exhibition mode is to totalty change a player. Example Wood gets traded for Clemens. You than take all of Clemens Atributes Face # , Pitches , Ect and write it down and then go to edit player of Wood and make all the changes I wonder if they would call him Clemens ???
Is this game worth all this trouble ? I can deal with all the Glitches but I cant fix this major problem , heck I didnt even mind doing goalies for ESPN hockey again.
What a waste of a Great game.
Nothing against MVP not my type of game.
So I guess it will be ESPN .

I agree with you. You have to give the user AS MUCH flexibility and ability to edit as possible. Acclaim has say 30 people trying to make a great product. You guys did a nice job on the core of the game...Thousands of people who buy the game will try and fine tune it if you give them the opportunity and using High Heat as an example(or even ESPN Hockey if you want to use a console game) the results can be phenomonal!
Somebody needs to create and editor like Flyin'Finn's editor for ESPN Hockey. With his editor you can make ANY change you want during franchises and simply import the save via Action Replay. It is the saving grace of that game and if it was created for ASB....the franchise play would be 10 times as good. Imagine being able to make any roster change, for any team. Injure a player...heal a player...change lineups and pitching staffs.....man...why could'nt I have learned computer programming??

Its because Akklam has become Microsoft's bitches.

They are in this thing together with Xbox Live. The only way to get updated rosters is through Xbox Live.

And of course its another way to make you get next year's game. its total BS, and i am sick of sports games doing this.

Why are there LESS options than the classics like LaRussa, Weaver, Baseball Pro, etc from 10-15 years ago??

If you have two controllers you can edit both teams uniforms and linesups before an exhibition game.

Just pick a team with each controller as if two people were playing. Then on the game/stadium select screen you can use each controller to change their respective teams lineup/pitcher.

Start the game as normal and then pause and then assign the second controller back to the CPU.

Yes, it shouldn't be this odd to change such simple settings but menus and presentation does not seem like Acclaims strong suit.

I have a feeling some of these guys aren't making the game feel like it's supposed to. How can there be no way to edit opposing team's lineups before a game? It's possible, I've seen it in 2003, and 2004, and I've done it, and if ASA ever removed it, then whatever.

But then again, I don't have the game (PS2) so I'll wait and see...
