Ejections are done stupidly in ASB
Pitchers never get ejected. You can bean a thousand batters in a row and a pitcher will never get tossed, only the batter that charges the mound. Dumb.Tags: None -
Re: Ejections are done stupidly in ASB
Actually, I got my pitcher tossed and didn't even hit a batter. I came in tight twice...even on different batters and I got ejected. I have also seen the umpire worn both benches...so I don't think you're claim has any validity.Comment

Re: Ejections are done stupidly in ASB
Ok. I have played more games where i just hit the batters, and the pitchers have been ejected....but i SWEAR that the pitcher in that one game i played never got ejected and i hit plenty of batters in the head with a pitch. ASB is off and on like that. Same thing with custom soundtracks, most of the time they play..other times they don't and you gotta reset your xbox.Comment

First, you were wrong. I, and probably everybody else here, couldn't resist seeing what happens if you repeatedly throw at/hit batters, and the pitchers do indeed get thrown out.
Second, for umpiring, the rule of thumb is that the outline of the pitcher's mound is a border. Whoever crosses that line to start a confrontation is going to get thrown out. If the batter charges the mound to start a fight, and the umpire has already judged that the pitcher was not worthy of being thrown out for his inside pitch, it will be just the batter leaving the game.
It's actually pretty well done by Acclaim.Comment
