Pitchers never get ejected. You can bean a thousand batters in a row and a pitcher will never get tossed, only the batter that charges the mound. Dumb.

First, you were wrong. I, and probably everybody else here, couldn't resist seeing what happens if you repeatedly throw at/hit batters, and the pitchers do indeed get thrown out.

Second, for umpiring, the rule of thumb is that the outline of the pitcher's mound is a border. Whoever crosses that line to start a confrontation is going to get thrown out. If the batter charges the mound to start a fight, and the umpire has already judged that the pitcher was not worthy of being thrown out for his inside pitch, it will be just the batter leaving the game.

It's actually pretty well done by Acclaim.

In my last spring training game, Randy Wolf was ejected for throwing at my batter after I had just hit a homerun. Awesome. I had to tell myself that this isn't real.

In pickup games no one is every eject. If you are on your last pitcher in a normal game, he will not get ejected either.

I got warned first them the next time I threw it near the guys head and got tossed.

I continued to head hunt until I was down to my last pitcher to see what would happen and he never got tossed.

They're done stupidly? Last time I checked, the last two years had ejections if the pitcher threw inside again if there was a warning issued and/or if the batter charged the mound (I'd know this, I had a hot headed first basemen who got tossed 40 times last year in 100 games).
