Considering the Acclaim guys have not said ps2 has gone gold yet, I doubt EB will be getting it this week. Sorry man

What does going gold have to do with release dates?

"Going gold" means it's ready to be mass-copied, put into its boxes, and shipped out. Until that happens, there's nothing to release.

Correct, a game usually goes gold the week before it is due out. With no announcement from Acclaim about it going gold last week, the chances of it being in stores tomorrow is slim to none. Let's keep hoping it is gold by the end of this week .

So what if it never goes gold? Will it never be released?

I knew the term but didn't know it would hold up release.

I mean back in my Intellivision days games didn't go gold before they hit shelves

      Thanks for the info

Correct, if it never goes gold, it never comes out . Every game that is released goes "Gold" first. It is basically just a term saying, "Ok, the game is done, lets copy it and box it"

maybe they're fixing a couple of the issues reported by X-Box'ers

                  Thanks again.
