      To steal from first: Hold Y (advance) and then press right on gamepad (firstbase runner). Hold B and press right to retreat.

      Classic baserunning:

      To advance, hold Y and then press the base the runner is on. The gamepad directions corresponds to the bases. Right is 1b, up is 2b and left is 3b.

      To retreat, hold B and same procedure.

      To advance all runners, L trigger. To retreat, R trigger.

            It really works. If you have a runner on 2nd and your batter hits a gapper just push down hold down on Y, hit 3rd base on the pad to send the runner home, still holding down on Y hit first base to send the runner to second.

            The L and R triggers will still advance/retreat all runners too.

            I was using normal baserunning and I could never advance just one runner at a time.

            But in classic why would you hit Y and press 3B to send the runner home? Shouldn't you hit the 3rd base button to send him to 3rd base (assuming runner is on 2nd)?

                  3b = 3b runner. 2b = 2b runner.

                  Maybe next year's version of the game they should have more baserunning modes, like they do batting options.

                        It's screwy, I know, but you hold the base that the runner is on, or going to to get him to advance to the next base.
                        It would make sense to hold down the home base button, forgot which one it is, but you don't. You hold down third if he's coming from second.

                        If you want a batter to advance to second and he's on his way to first you hold down the first base button, not the second base button.

                              I'm not having any problems with Normal baserunning. After I figured it out, how and when to do it, it was pretty easy.
