Using 2D cursor, every time I try to move the cursor, I can't once the ball is delivered and i swing. When controllying the cursor, I can't concentrate on stealing (looking for the right pitch to steal on) because I'll end up striking out as a hitter. I'm playing on All Star, classic pitch speed. I tried slow speed, but it takes away from the realism of the game.

LOL!! Join the club...I have the same problem on 3d cursor..same level of play.Just got to keep practicing from what I hear. I believe you have to move the cursor befor he pitches ..then swing. -

When stealing, you should be going on the pitcher's first move to the plate, not after he releases the ball. So you shouldn't have time to recognize the pitch. It's more of a guessing game. Run when you think the pitcher is going to throw a breaking ball.
You can move the cursor until you hit the swing button, that's correct.
So it's in this order.
1. Steal on pitcher's first move TO the PLATE.
2. Recognize the pitch
3. Locate the pitch
4. Swing the bat

I can't get used to it either, so I'm stuck with Zone for now.... I'm used to WSB2k# where you could still move the cursor, even after you swing. I also suck at cursor anyway and had the large cursors on, which I wish was an option in this.
I'll probably keep doing BP with the cursor and may make the switch someday, as I know I'm losing out on more realistic hits, unless something was fixed in a patch,..... *hint hint*Comment

Thing is, on zone, I can concentrate on the ball more instead of "aiming" the cursor, but I hit too easily. And no foul balls, not enough grounders to third and first, no hits down the line.
