the "art" of 2-d cursor hitting...advice?

hey guys...im looking for a little help in regard to this method of hitting....after trying all the hitting options extensively, this is my preferred method (for now )....im wondering, though, where is the "sweet spot" in terms of trying to hit the long ball.....im not looking to jack them out at a ridiculous rate, 1 - 1.5 per game would be dandy

ive noticed that when i hit the ball "on the screws", dead center in the crosshairs, i hit the ball VERY hard, but more often than not it results in an out.....should i be aiming top center to get the ball in the air? half in and half out of the cursor? all the way inside the cursor but towards the top? i just want to know what it is i should be working on....thanks for any help, its much appreciated

Refer to this thread (linked below). It's basically a good discussion on how the 2D cursor works. Very interesting stuff...

I've found that its eaier to pull homers. For your power hitters, start with the icon on the outside half of the zone. Hope that helps...
