I agree..but for me those one or 2 times a game is a killer. Was playing online last night and twice..I am rounding 3rd base heading for home..it shows me the opponent with the ball in his glove in left field ready to throw...I should make this walking home...but no..next shot is the catcher has the ball and im out by a mile! Another play..my opponent stops on first because he claims he saw the 2nd baseman get to the ball on a slow grounder...I see the ball hit hard past the second baseman and roll to the wall! Lucky for me I guess...but not fair. I know it's lag but I have very little or no lag in other xbox games. I'm sure they will patch the online play with an update!!...I hope!!

Re: Fielding Frustrations
Yeah, I have some fielding gripes as well. I am doing the TWIB challenges, and I absolutely hate that fielder cam. I really feel for guys who play online. Perhaps it is because I am old, but FPM doesn't make me feel like part of the action, just nausious.
I wish the development team had spent their resources on the classic cam, because that has its share of fielding issues too. In addition to the vacuum catches and difficulty in "locking on" to a fly ball, I really have a hard time seeing the ball when it stops rolling on the grass. I have given up some frustrating singles on 4 foot rollers that I couldn't see....and no, I refuse to use the sacregligous glow. And what is up with my second baseman running to cover second when a line drive is hit a couple feet away from him? I understand the future throws, but non future throws are aggrevatingly slow. I don't even want to get into the number of tags that are missed when the fielder has the ball 15 feet ahead of the runner.
I still like the game as it has alot to offer, but fielding is not one of them.Comment

Another thing I don't like is picking up a ball that stopped in the outfield. Normally you can vacum anything moving 5 feet from you into your glove (which doens't bother me) BUT for a ball that is stopped it seems like you have to line your exact glove pixel up with the ball pixel so while your running in circles around a dot the batter is heading to third.
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
what i started doing (and it must be working, as i havent had the issue since) is when you get "near" the ball, just press the throw button, to wherever it is you were going to throw to....when ive done this, the OFer stops running around and bends down to pick up the ball, and throws it all in one fluid motion...maybe thatll help, it does meComment
