Yeah, I don't think they'd exhume the long-since-dead RBI name if they intended this to be a hardcore simulation. Still interested to see how this goes, though.

Seriously? This is going to be some slapped together throw-away using MLB assets to try and cash in on the fact nobody, short of Sony's lock, wants to touch the MLB license. This game is going to be a first class turd sandwich. It is bad enough the MLB has no shame in dragging their name through the mud but why do you have to take RBI with you? Shame you on MLB.

I want it to be like Ultimate Baseball Online! But no chance. I miss that type of game

Interested to see what this game turns out looking like. I still have an old copy of RBI baseball laying around somewhere.

Loved RBI... baseball Stars was fun too...I spent two years of my life on it...

but! Realistically I'd be much more jazzed if High Heat came back , or MVP.

I love the Show. But MVP's fielding, and HH for pc... best manage only mode ever.

(Also , can I have Civ II? The others have stunk since)

I highly doubt that someone won't seize the opportunity to make a Baseball game for the Xbox. Would love to see High Heat or MVP make a come back whichever would be fine. I just want multiple baseball games again.

I am hoping they bought the 2K series and will vastly improve it for next gen release. I think that they knew that 2K wouldn't release another baseball game and maybe they wanted to make an investment for the future. Probably wishful thinking, but I hope not!

while i played this back on NES years and years ago, it was a fun game then but that was also when nintendo was basically the only console around at the time other than atari and maybe the sega genesis. but i have a feeling this will be more of a cartoony type game and not serious or pure sim like the show is.

I think the best case scenario we can hope for is Power Pros-like game that has cartoony graphics, but plays a realistic game of baseball. Since there will be console versions, I'm hopeful that the mobile versions won't be transaction-based, but just one flat fee. If it turns out like this, I'll pickup both the XBL and Android versions.

Konami make Pro Baseball / Yakyuu Spirits and the cutesy but still fantastic Power Pros. I'd be surprised if they're behind this, not sure they have the time.

If this MLB title uses similar cursor batting mechanics and offers a season mode, I'm interested. The Show's gameplay is a little stale after playing Konami's games.

I agree the logo does scream "cartoony" and budget title though. Not necessarily a bad thing. A helluva lot of graphical work would need to have been done to get lifelike players and ballparks for the entire MLB in a title that would appear to be "fresh" to the scene.

It would be perfect if they had a PC version that was open to Mods, or better yet, paired with OOTP for the simulation side.
