Is it just me or are the pitch speeds off?

I've been watching the radar gun in ASB05 and it seems like most of my pitchers rarely hit 90 - 95mph (even with their fastballs). Then around the 3rd or 4th inning, I can't even count on breaking the 90mph, again, even with a fastball. For instance, I have Javier Vazquez and he can hit the mid 90's in the first couple innings. Then he starts tailing off and his fastballs are all 85mph - 89mph.

So is it just me or are the pitch speeds a little off?

I'm playing at HOF difficulty, Classic pitch speeds (could that be why?) with a generated 1-0 count.

I have not noticed this with the Cubs with the exception of Maddux who is lucky to hit 90s in the opening innings. I play HOF w/ Classic Speed at well and have not noticed this. Usually my starters are still hitting mid-90's late into the game....they just can't hit their mark at all. I don't use pitch counts.

Use Sim-Fastest... Classic-Fast seems to cut about 5mph off the pitches.

I used to use SIM/Fastest but now use Classic/Fast and don't think I notice any difference in pitch speeds (at least as posted by the radar gun). However, I do notice a huge difference in homeruns which run rampent in the SIM/Fastest mode for some odd reason.
