    Double switch bug...

I apologize if this has been posted someplace else already. And i know it should probably be in the Bugs/Glitches thread, but everybody over there seems obsessed with online play and the around-the-horn glitch...

I'm playing a game as the Cubs against the Astros in Wrigley. It's the bottom of the 7th and Kerry Wood is up to bat with Brad Lidge on the mound. I pinch-hit Todd Walker for Wood and eventually the inning ends with Grudz making the last out in the #2 slot. So my plan is to keep Walker in the game as the 2B and bring in Hawkins from the pen and hit him 2nd. But when I chose Double Switch from the menu, it didn't let me keep Walker in the game. Walker didn't show up on the list of players available to replace the fielder that was taken out. This has happened more than once and I haven't found a way around the bug yet. I'm a big fan of double switching, so I always end up burning at least one bench player every game.

Now I'm not gonna go crazy and say that this is ruining the game and I can never ever play it again, but I would like to know if anybody has found a way to pull off a double switch without burning the pinch hitter.

The reason why he isn't showing up in the list in the double replacement is because he's already taken the place of the pitcher (after pinch hitting). You go to change positions, switch whoever you pinch hitted with, lets say Grudzielanek. After you switch their positions, you can sub in the pitcher for Grudz. It's a complicated double switch only because Todd Walker pinch hitted, thus taking off the list of bench players.

Thanks for the info. I knew there had to be a way around it; I just never realized I could access the pitcher from the Change Positions screen.
