Why aren't my guys gaining any points in Spring Training?

Back when I started my first franchise with the Cubs, I simmed every spring training game and got points, but with my new expansion franchise, maybe one or two players get up to 4 points and that's it. I MOM'ed the games that I played in my expansion franchise. The AAA-A players don't even get any points. What am I doing wrong?

the vast majority of the points are added after the last spring training game.

yeah after the last game you should get a good amount of points, some guys will only get a few others will increase quite a bit

Some of the tasks in the tasks list are season-wide. Finish spring training with a .330 BA, or 3.00 ERA, or end up with a certain amount of hits, etc.
