What is it with the camera angles in this game??

The camera angles are really messed up on the homerun celebrations. Every time I hit one with Manny or one of the other players that has one, the camera just follows the ball. All I can see is them start to do the celebration then it cuts away, even when I view the replay. It's like the game doesn't know they have personalized celebrations & just won't show them. I remember back in ASB 2003 it showed the batter every time they hit a homer, & they didn't even have the personalized celebrations back then. Does anyone have any idea of how to see this kind of view of the batter after hitting a homer? I even have it on cut scenes for the homerun camera, but I still don't get any scenes like this.

There is a setting for Home Run Camera and mine is set to "Random". It sounds like yours is too. You can cycle through and find the camera you want. I'm fairly certain it's in the same menu where you choose your hitting and fielding cameras.

Same here. I've seen shots where they show the pitchers reaction or follow the ball out the park. I've yet to see the "Sammy hop" and my Homerun scenes are set to random.
Coming is my style, but I have to go.

I've tried changing the homerun camera & still no luck. The one I've had it on for my past 6 games is the cut scene cam & before that I tried random. It doesn't seem to change anything, as I still get the same follow the ball view with all the cameras.

I just hit a HR with Mike Piazza at Old Yankee Stadium and they showed his celebration! After he hit it, he whipped the bat back quickly, dropped it to the ground and stared at the ball for a second, then trotted to first. It looked like vintage Piazza. They showed him celebrate almost immediately after contact, from the centerfield camera, like in the broadcast view but a little more zoomed in. I knew there would be a cutscene for it because i noticed Piazza drag his bat through the strikezone as he hit the ball. Its a very unique swing, you'll know it when you see it. I've seen it also in HR Derby, where sometimes the hitter will kind of drag the bat through the zone, thats the indication that he's doing a celebration.

I have my HR Camera set to Random, and its been the first celebration I've seen since i got the game (a few days ago) and I've played over 25 games. I've seen different cutscenes where the pitcher falls to the ground (probly one out of every three of my HRs I've seen that), but this is the first time I've seen a batter celebrate.

I saw my first HR celebration! Vernon Wells did a Manny Ramirez bat flip. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but it was in my third game playing with the cursor on and fielder cam on. I've played all my games (about 30 to 40) with no cursor and classic cam. Had no hitter celebrations in those games.
