i think it is truely a great game if your a classic baseball fan. I love the player models and there area TON of batting stances. The stadiums are the best in the business as well as the faces. Playing with "random generated counts" is wonderful.
Your pitching control isn't always pinpoint so you can throw balls and the pitcher will walk you. The CPU will steal and hit and run (unlike MVP), and I love looking in the bullpen to watch my pitchers warming up. I hit a run home the other day and the ball landed in the bullpen right next to the pitchers warming up. Awesome!
My only gripes:
Sometimes the ball looks as big as a beach ball on certain camera angles. They tried to go for perspective but overdid it.
The crowd is always clapping
Again, roster editing BEFORE starting a season is VERY limited
When swinging, the batter's head always looks towards the opposite field. This really shows up when you swing and miss..
Other than that I love this game -

You can edit players but thats it. you could simulate a trade by swapping names, batting stances, etc but the handedness and position stay the same.
Also renaming Wes Mailman to Barry Bonds even with pumped up stats gives him 10 home runs a year.
What I do is wait until a season starts then trade Wes Mailman to Colorado for Burnitz. I then adjust their names and ratings and at least the new Bonds will hit 25-30 dingers.Comment
