    Problem in franchise mode?

When I'm simming games in my franchise and a player get's injured, or comes back from injury, the dialog box will pop up and ask. "DO you want to activate this player" what the problem is, is that the only option I have is "B" AUTO.

How come I can't control this manually? What I'm finding is that the CPU is making these decisions on the DL etc and bringing guys up and sending them back down to the minors when I don't want them to.

Is there a setting I need to find to fix this? When I set it up I said I wanted full control. But the only option I get is B Auto. Anyone else get this?

    Thanks.

now that you mention it, yes, that did happen to me.

my catcher had a neck strain or something and was to miss one game. the only thing i could pick was auto so i picked and i thought 'huh, i wonder what that means' and just went along. i'm new to the series so i didn't know that it was out of the ordinary. i thought maybe with real minor injuries, the computer doesn't bother you to fix the rosters or something.

no, it seems to be 'running things' on the day to day. Which is a problem cuz it can bring people up too early that you don't want and use up their options too quickly.

          Anyone else see this?

Yeah Jistic...you really have to be careful when you are about to have guys coming off the DL. The same goes with trades. Have a roster spot ready when trading...otherwise the CPU will move players around and possibly drop someone to make room. When guys are ready to come off the DL(if you look on the disabled list screen it will give you the exact date) you have to go into the GM office and make sure you make that move before you sim...or all you can do is.......shut off the XBOX to get out of it. It is a pain in the ..you know....but a minor one if you can catch it in time.

BOy that really sux. I know if pretty much every game when you sim and something like that happens you get options to stop the sim and make the adjustments yourself. I've never seen a game where your ONLY choice is to have the CPU do it automatically.

In fact in last years ASB I think you could manually do everything without the CPU screwing up your roster. This seems like a bug right? I wish ASB-Man would still be around to take some questions.

Got this message from Ryan Fuller on another forum....

"This will be fixed for next year. The way it was in there was causing major problems in the franchise. We were to far into the project to to be able to fix it properly. The auto was our only option at the time. Sorry, but it was better than the other alternative that would have happened in your franchise, trust me. We will have it changed for next year."
