Glitch in ps2 version???

Is there a known glitch in the ps2 version where the swing button is non responsive sometimes? Its happened a couple times now, that when I press the swing button, my hitter doesnt swing. Its not the controller either, because the practice swing works, and the button works in every other game I have.

It's in the XBOX version as well, with Zone hitting, correct?

If you believe Acclaim's explanation, they said something about not letting you press the button too early or some such thing and that they did it on purpose.

I think the belief around here is that it's a glitch. Ever since switching to the 2d cursor, I have never had it happen to me.

Yes, it was zone hitting. And I dont believe their explanation because if I swing any later, the ball is already in the catchers mitt.

I had it in zone hitting but I noticed that you can't have anything pressed not the x button or the left stick in any direction, if it does it once, take a practice swing then don't touch anything, and you can't swing too early.

I've had it a few times on the box with 3d cursor.
